To reinforce autonomy, the European Commission has initiated the EU Space Law, set for adoption in 2027. This law will introduce comprehensive regulations for space traffic management, including mandatory anti-collision systems, satellite disposal protocols, and debris management requirements, ensuring that all Member States meet the necessary standards to protect these vital space-based assets.
